“You have a subtle dull, Philina.”
Huey smirked and opened his mouth.
“Now I realize that you like me.
I’ve been feeling it for a long time.”
He rolled his eyes, rubbing his chin with one hand.
“Maybe I was expecting it from the beginning.”
Huey smiled as he met Philina’s gaze again.
“I guessed it from the time you grabbed me by the arm and knocked me backwards.
We’re destined to be so deeply intertwined.”
At his words, Filina reflexively remembered the day Huey broke Leone’s sword.
Even then, I thought Huey was insane, but…
Filina said with a faint sigh.
“So what kind of animal is the one you mentioned? What else are you going to use as material?”
At her words, Huey opened his mouth in a light voice.
“The material I need to ask for is the flower of the Holy Spirit.
You can only get it by killing him.
And the reason I asked you to help me is because I need divine power.
Now, in the forest of hallucinations, the wizard is an uninvited guest.
He uses the power of the gods just like you.”
He added with a grin.
“It’s not fun to tell him who he is already.
So see it with your own eyes.”
For some reason, Huey seemed to be enjoying this situation very much right now.
The smile on his face never left.
She was so playful and never serious, so at first glance it seemed that she was no different from her usual self, but Filina could tell.
Huey’s red eyes shined exceptionally brightly as he looked at him.
The corners of his eyes, curved like a crescent moon, showed no signs of returning to their place.
Filina asked, furrowing her brow.
“I don’t know how to use the divine power properly.
It’s not dangerous, is it?”
At her words, Huey opened his mouth in a voice that hardened.
“You don’t have to worry about that.
It’s normal for him to hide his true identity, but then he won’t harm someone with divine powers.
You’ll feel like you’re a kindred man.
That’s why I’m trying to take you with me.”
Having said that, Huey turned his head to look at the window, and stood up.
“First of all, let’s go to the hallucinatory forest before there are many people.
I think that’s enough of an explanation.”
Filina nodded and followed him out of the dormitory.
Henry’s room, which he saw as soon as he opened the door, somehow caught his eye, but Filina walked past without much expression.
As she walked out of the dormitory building, the dazzling sunlight was the first to greet her.
It frowned spontaneously.
Filina raised her palm over her forehead to block out the sunlight.
“Huey, by the way, what did you do during your vacation? Did you stay in the tower all day?”
Filina, who was suddenly curious about his vacation life, asked with a puzzled face.
Then Huey, who had been walking ahead of her, turned his head to look at Filina, and said with a sudden look of weariness:
“There was a lot of preparation.”
She asked, tilting her head, and Huey turned his gaze forward again and opened his mouth.
“The hallucinatory forest has become a place where people can’t easily get out of it because of the high levels of pollution.
I also found that the magic didn’t work there, so I would wander around for a long time and finally come back to find a place where I could move through space.”
This seemed to be the reason why Huey hadn’t looked up well at the military academy until now.
He continued, pulling something out of his pocket.
“But you can’t move through space because magic doesn’t work.
That’s why I created a compass dedicated to the Forest of Hallucinations.
By magic, of course.”
He stopped, waving the compass in his hand in the air.
“First of all, you have it.
It’s not a direct use of magic, so you can use it too.”
In front of Philina, a compass was thrust out that stood out for its luxurious appearance.
She didn’t take it right away, so she asked Huey cautiously.
“Can I have this? You made it hard.”
At Filina’s question, he burst into a small laugh.
“I made it for you anyway.
And it’s safer to have yours than it is to have mine.”
Huey stepped a few steps closer to her and placed the compass in Philina’s hand.
“I don’t think so, but if you and I are separated from each other in the forest of hallucinations, you’re not going to have to come back here alone.”
“…… Why are you scaring me all of a sudden?”
“I’m taking you away, so you have to take responsibility.
So you’re trying to be prepared for the unforeseen.
I’ll take care of myself if I find a magical place anyway, but you’re not like that.”
Huey looked serious, as if he had been thinking about more than he thought.
Even then, his face quickly smiled as usual.
Philina lowered her head to look at the compass in the palm of her hand.
It was similar in shape to a store-bought pocket watch, and was designed to indicate the direction with a needle-shaped needle floating in the middle.
Filina quietly scanned the compass in her hand, then looked up and said to Huey:
I didn’t know you were such a caring person.
I thought I was the only one who knew…”
She muttered lowly, and Huey said with a dumbfounded look.
“You don’t have to add anything to the back, do you? Anyway, I got a good thank you.”
He walked away with a smile on his face.
Huey, standing in front of the kennel, broke the lock very easily.
Seeing this, Filina quickly looked around.
“Are you crazy? Who’s going to smash it like this? And you said no before because of the absence.”
“It’s been a while since you broke that bond, hasn’t it? As long as you figure out how to do it, it’s a piece of cake to break a tiebreaker.
Of course, at first I couldn’t control the power, so I blew the whole door out, but…….
If you don’t want people to find out, come in.”
Huey opened the kennel door with a familiar face and walked in.
She looked around, but she was taken aback by the sight of the instructors in the distance, and walked after Huey.
As I hurriedly closed the kennel door, a quiet silence came.
A strange cry echoed through them.
The smell of the beast stabbing the tip of my nose and the chilly air gave me goosebumps.
Filina rubbed her forearm and looked around the kennel in silence.
“You said you’ve been here before, didn’t you?”
Huey asked in a low voice as he walked to the back of the kennel.
Philina followed him, too, walking slowly.
“yes, but I don’t remember.
I had just entered school, so I didn’t know what it was, so I followed it.
Except that Carmen showed me one of the monsters .
Huey stopped and looked back at Philina.
Even then, she was looking around, pointing to a corner with her hand and opening her mouth.
“It was probably a monster trapped over there.
I just watched it, and he was a very bad guy.”
Huey turned his gaze in the direction she was pointing and frowned up.
“Carmen let you see that monster?”
“Maybe it wasn’t just me? They told me that other people had already been hit the same as me.”
“It looks like you’re already going to change the water.”
He muttered to herself, and Filina looked at Huey in wonder.
“You let out the cadets you don’t like, and you leave the ones who are good.”
Huey looked at her and pulled his lips up to curl up.
“From there, I’m going to go further and get the cadets who I think will be helpful to me to get them to stand up for me.”
“You’re one of the people who got swept up in that underwater?”
Her words were blurted out indifferently and Huey looked puzzled.
Looking at him, Filina snorted with a pathetic expression.
“I just spit it out, but I guess it was real.”
Huey looked down at her with a blank face, then opened his mouth with a twinkle in his eye.
“Who are you comparing me to? It’s one thing for Carmen to do water work for me, but it’s another thing for the cadets here.
And I could betray Carmen at any time, if I had my purpose.”
“Betrayal? Did you really hold hands with Carmen?”
Philina stiffened her face as she spoke, and Huey was silent for a moment.
Somehow, when I talked to Philina earlier, I felt like I was self-destructing.
He turned his gaze to the monster in front of him.
“You said Carmen showed you that?”
At Huey’s words, Filina moved her gaze.
Through the iron grate, I could see a monster with a huge body.
“He’s a high-level demon.
But he’s worse than the others.”
Huey shrugged and continued.
“Well, he’s already been killed by me many times.”
At his words, Filina looked at Huey with a face that asked what she meant.
“Higher-level monsters don’t usually end with one kill.
After a certain period of time, they come back to life from where they died.”
“…… Coming back to life?”
“yes, that’s why it’s more of a headache.”
Huey stared at the demon in front of him with an annoyed expression.
“Plus, he’s a little tired to deal with.
It’s harder to deal with than a normal monster.”
Philina, who had been listening quietly to him, asked with a suddenly anxious face.
“But why are you telling me so specifically? Isn’t it supposed to be a passage to the forest of hallucinations that you need to explain now, not that demon?”
At her words, Huey raised his mouth with a displeased face, and jerked his chin to the place where the monster was trapped.
“It’s behind bars.
The door to the forest of hallucinations.”
Philina scanned the cage where the monster was trapped, frowning.
“What kind of door is there in this place…”
Her gaze wandered through the iron grate past the huge monster crouching in the corner, and found a faintly visible indigo door behind her.
It was a door that could only be found in the storeroom of an ordinary mansion.
It has an overly plain shape, like a coat of indigo paint on a wooden door…….
Filina asked him, furrowing her brow.
“The door over there is a passage to the hallucinatory forest?”
“So you’re going to have to fight the monsters in the cage to get there?”
Huey replied with a bright smile to her question.
Philina’s expression hardened coldly.
I don’t think this kind of hardship will come even before I enter the forest of hallucinations.
Only then did I understand that Huey had already killed the monster several times.
