The day has finally come to achieve a great feat that, if heard by others, would make them wonder if one’s mind is alright – planting seeds in the Land of Death.

 

This was not a casual idea of ´Hey, I’ve come to the Land of Death, why not plant some seeds?´ but a diligent effort that involved digging a well, building a rock fence, and making fertilizer.
It was a respectable accomplishment that was reached through hard work.

 

Moreover, the seeds were brought by Bell and Rain, who worked hard to transport them.
I am deeply moved by this.

 

“Hey, Yuta.
Why did you freeze up all of a sudden? Weren’t you going to plant the seeds?”

 

“Oh, sorry Sylphy.
When I realized how much effort we put into getting to the point where we can plant the seeds, I just felt overwhelmed with emotions.”

But the real challenge starts now, doesn’t it? We need to plant the seeds, nurtilee them, grow them into food, and then eat them.

We need to eat them to truly reap the rewards of our hard work.”

Let’s plant the seeds.
Nomos, Tile, give us your instructions.”

The temperatilee difference between me and Nomos is widening infinitely.

We decided to plant the seeds together since we’re all here.
Me, Sylphy, Dyne, Bell, Rain, Nomos, and Tile all planted the seeds.
We’re lucky no one said we couldn’t plant them because we’re not under contract.

 

Bell and Rain were ecstatic and staring intently at the spots where they planted their seeds.

 

“Bell, Rain, the sprouts won’t come out right away just by staring at them.
We still have a lot of seeds to plant, so please help us out.”

“Hey Yuta, when will the sprouts come out?”

Rain nodded enthusiastically.
She seemed to really enjoy it.

 

“Is it really that delicious, Bell and Rain?” Dyne asked.

 

“It’s so yummy! Bell loves it!” Bell exclaimed.

 

“Yeah, it’s delicious.
You should try some too,” I encouraged Dyne.

 

Taking a deep breath, Dyne popped a piece of chocolate into her mouth.
Her expression tilened to one of fear as she bit into it.

 

“Oh my, this is really good! It’s crunchy and has a rich sweetness with just a hint of bitterness.
It’s irresistible!” Dyne exclaimed, her face transformed into a happy smile.
She looked so beautiful when she smiled like that.

 

“It really is delicious,” Sylphy added, having quietly joined in on the chocolate eating.
Tile also nodded in agreement, enjoying the taste.

 

“Hmm, I don’t think it’s bad, but it’s not really my thing,” Nomos said.

 

“Oh, I see.
Sorry about that,” I replied.

 

“Don’t worry about it.
I’m grateful that I got to try something new,” Nomos said.

 

“If you’re not going to eat it, Nomos, I’ll have it,” I offered.

 

“Bell wants to eat it too!” Bell chimed in.

 

“Kyukyu,” Rain added, trying to get in on the action.

 

As Sylphy tried to take the remaining chocolate, Bell and Rain joined in the fray.

“Children should have priority for things like this,” Nomos said as he tossed the remaining three pieces of chocolate to Bell, Rain, and Tile.
What a cool way to resolve the situation.
Nomos is impressive.

 

Now it’s my turn to eat.
As I bite into the chocolate and savor the sweetness, I feel it spread throughout my body.
It’s been a while since I’ve had any kind of treat, so this chocolate is intense.

 

As I’m enjoying the lingering flavor of the chocolate, Rain tugs on my sleeve.
She wants me to open the bag again.

 

“I’ll open it right away,” I reassured her.

 

I open the bag and offer it to Rain, who eagerly bites into it.
Seeing how happy she is, I wonder if dolphins are allowed to eat chocolate? Well, I guess it’s okay since she’s a spirit, not a dolphin.

 

“That was delicious,” Sylphy says with a smile.

 

“Yes, it was very tasty,” Dyne agrees, also smiling.

 

Everyone except Nomos seems happy, so it was a good decision to share the chocolate.
We still have some of our favorite sweets left, so we’ll bring them out at special occasions.

 

“I’m sorry, Nomos.
By the way, do you like alcohol?” I ask, thinking that as a dwarf, he might enjoy it.

 

“Alcohol? Is there alcohol in the other world?” he asks.

 

“Alcohol!”

 

“Alcohol!”

 

Not only Nomos, but Sylphy and Dyne also seem interested.
Do spirits like alcohol?

 

“Well, yeah.
My biggest goal right now is to make a contract with Sylphy.
When we can do that, I’ll celebrate with some sake from my hometown,” I say.

We’re looking forward to it.
Yuta, do your best,” Nomos encourages me.

 

“Yuta, can I have a drink too?” Dyne asks.

 

“Yuta, if I make a contract with you, can I drink too?” Sylphy asks.

 

“It’s a one-liter bottle, so there won’t be much for four people, but let’s drink together,” I say.

 

I don’t want to be stingy and give away all the alcohol, but I plan to live a long time, so it’ll be sad when the Japanese products run out.
I want to keep some as a talisman.

 

The three great spirits are whispering to each other in a low voice.
I can barely hear their conversation, but it sounds a bit ominous.
